Lyrics
No one taught me If this was the right path or if I should go on a different one If I reach the end over there, I’ll stop Saying it’s the end I’m standing in front of a blocked maze I ask about my path but the echo has no answer I might stay on the same path as yesterday As if I’m hanging on that spider web Somewhere in the world, in the deepest corner I need to find myself, who has lost the way Before the darkness that swallows the sun will come I need to find my way that is trapped in a long wall Teach me, my hidden fears If this path ends, will there be another one? I need to untangle the knots on my feet But my numb hands hurt too much Somewhere in the world, in the deepest corner I need to find myself, who has lost the way Before the darkness that swallows the sun will come I need to find my way that is trapped in a long wall Teach me, my hidden fears If this path ends, will there be another one? I need to untangle the knots on my feet But my numb hands hurt too much |
Basic InformationDemonstration Firstly, I was deeply attracted by the melody because it is a Korean song. When I heard this song the first time, I felt that the melody is of light melancholy and loss. After reading the lyrics in English, it is obvious that this song reflects a confused guy, who lost the way, is trying hard to find the correct path. According the lyrics, "Somewhere in the world, in the deepest corner, I need to find myself, who has lost the way", my understanding of this sentence is that someone attempted to identify himself/herself and hoped to find a correct orientation.
I chose this song to describe the experience and emotions of the character, Sophie. Sophie is deeply trapped in the belief that she will fail because she is the eldest of the three. Although she works hard to help support his father's hat shop, she is negative towards the life and future. After Sophie knows her sisters changed their identities for seeking their dreams and fortune, Sophie becomes confused whether she needs to accept the arrangement of the fate or not. Like what this song expressed, Sophie lost her way and attempted to find herself. |
